MagnetBar

Set up your production Mac.

A guided pilot, from first install to a measured print.

Pilot setup guide. A public installer and self-service activation have not yet been verified for release.

  1. Confirm your equipment

Send support your Mac model, macOS version, printer, paper, magnet size, cutter and press. The initial target is an Apple silicon Mac and a US Letter six-position sheet for 2½ × 3½-inch rectangles. The recorded baseline uses Epson ET-8550, Koala glossy paper and TECRE rectangle equipment; this is not certification of every combination.

  2. Get the approved installer and invitation

Support will supply the release download and your business invitation when ready. Install only the verified MagnetBar release. Do not bypass macOS security warnings; contact support if installation is blocked.

  3. Activate your own business

In Business setup, choose Activate an invited business and enter the supplied invitation and business name. If setup is interrupted, resume on the same Mac and contact support rather than creating another business. Never share your private setup file or invitation publicly.

  4. Review branding, prices and intake

Check your business details and magnet package prices before sharing your customer upload link or QR code. Those magnet prices are separate from your $24/month software membership. Ordinary local production does not require Canva. Customer card payments require a separate, verified merchant connection.

  5. Run one complete test order

Use a test photo you have permission to use. Upload it, review the crop and copies, prepare the sheet, and check payment and production status separately. Print at the verified scale, measure the output, and test cutting and pressing before taking customer orders.

  6. Practice recovery

Confirm the physical print before marking it finished. Check the printer queue before retrying an interrupted print. Test restart and archived reprints. Downloaded photos can be prepared locally; new cloud uploads, online payments and Canva need connectivity.
